Robins, in my opinion, are one of the easiest back yard birds to photograph for several reasons:
- Very little startles them
- They have personalities – watch them in the bird bath or around other birds.
- Their colors stay consistent but make for beautiful photos in all seasons.
When photographing these birds approach them slowly and do keep your distance. Even though they don’t startle easily, you still need to give them space and respect their territory. Because they don’t quickly fly off, there is time to take multiple shots and make adjustments between shots.
I have gotten more than one type of look from these birds. Some times the tilt of their head and the angle seems as if the bird is questioning why you are even there. More often I get the, “what are you looking at tilt”

As for their colors, the following picture is from a few weeks ago. The picture was taken on an over cast day.

I hope you like these few pictures of the friendly Mr. Robin. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog!
